“An Excellent Tour Tom was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable about the food, the food’s cultural roots, and the history behind the introduction of particular dishes and spices to Thailand. Every dish we tasted had its social context and place in Thai cuisine explained to us. Tom not only was knowledgeable, he was quite polite & personable and brought our group of five together. Finally, Tom was very attentive to my gluten intolerance and took great pains to ensure that I had a good and full tasting experience.”

“Unforgettable experience. Loved every minute of it. Absolutely brilliant. Our guide was so funny and knowledgeable that allowed us to walk around the markets and explained ingredients that we would be eating on the tour. Every single dish was gorgeous. I would have never ordered them on my own so I am delighted I went on the tour. Highly recommend if you want to see and taste the culture or Thailand/Phuket.”

“Gigi made the tour! GIGI was a great guide-very knowledgeable and considerate. She also was very familiar with some of the shop owners so we really felt at home. Each person gets their own portion of each dish and it is a lot of food. She also provided us with waters and a couple of the items were drinks. The walking is minimal and you make a circle around the area of the main market. There is a lot of variety and the group we were with was friendly.”

“Very tasty and informative 😋 My brother and I had a great time on this. Our local tour guide Gigi was very informative; we learned a lot about the culture and history of Phuket, as well as experiencing some great food and a warm welcome from all the business owners along the way. We would never have tried most of the dishes by ourselves, would recommend to anyone.”

“The real background on Thai cuisine with Gigi The tour was held up because our taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong place. However, with the help of some locals selling food at the corner where we were, and talking to the tour organizer, we used a picture of the meeting place sent to us, showed it to a large tuc tuc driver and were delivered about 20 minutes late. Gigi, was there to welcome us, keeping our tour together waiting for us to arrive. We very much appreciated all the help we received and the friendly welcome from our tour group. Gigi was very knowledgable and gave us a running commentary on the food we were sampling, the owners/cooks of the restaurants we visited and the history behind the origins of the food we sampled. There was plenty to eat so her advice to come hungry was very apt. The tour was not rushed and we were offered special seating arrangements so our group could stay together throughout the tour. The orange dessert with honey and ice to end the tour was wonderful. We also offered a lotus flower to a local Buddhist temple. All in all a fabulous tour we would recommend to other travelers. Gigi was an awesome guide that made the tour more than just sampling Thai food.”

“Great way to see and taste Phuket With 8 in our group led by guide Cat, this was a delicious and informative way to taste the variety of foods of Phuket, with walking and stops of interest in between the generous portions, to aid digestion. Favourites were the breakfast soup, the rotis with curries, and the soft spring rolls.”

“Excellent eating and walking tour of Old Phuket town. This tasting tour was a great way to experience some local places in Phuket that we otherwise would not have tried. It was a small group and Gigi our tour guide made sure everyone was included. She gave us information about each place and the food and some local history. All the food was great and they were good at catering to us as vegetarians. Make sure you go with an appetite as there is plenty to eat!”

“We cannot give enough praise for this food tour. Our guide, Cat, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information about the food and the culture. In addition, she was very warm, kind and caring. She took great care of our group - one member of our party was not feeling well and one member is a celiac - she accommodated everyone with grace and a smile. Do not hesitate to book this tour - you will not regret it. Thank you Cat for a wonderful afternoon!”
