Legal
These are the terms that govern our tours, bookings, and vouchers. We've tried to keep them plain — read them before you book so we're on the same page.

Who we are
A Chef's Tour operates culinary tours led by local chef-guides across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. When we say “we”, “us” or “the company” in these terms, we mean A Chef's Tour. When we say “you” or “the guest” we mean the person making the booking and the people they book on behalf of.
02
Bookings
A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and you receive a confirmation email with the tour meeting point and details. Your booking is a contract between us for the specific tour, date, and number of guests you selected.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Guests under 18 are welcome to join as part of your party — they must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the tour.
03
Payment
Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. We accept major credit and debit cards through our payment processor, Stripe. The booking is confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
For private tours and larger group bookings, a deposit may be required, with the balance due before the tour date. We'll agree this in writing before your booking is finalised.
04
Cancellations & changes
Our standard cancellation policy is:
- More than 14 days before the tour: full refund, or free date change subject to availability.
- Between 14 and 3 days before the tour: 50% refund, or free date change subject to availability.
- Less than 3 days before the tour: no refund, but we'll do our best to accommodate a date change where possible.
If we cancel a tour (due to weather, illness, or reasons outside our control) you'll be offered a full refund or a date change at no cost — your choice.
05
On the tour
Please arrive at the meeting point on time. Tours cannot wait for latecomers as it affects the rest of the group and the venues we visit. If you miss the meeting point, the tour is treated as a no-show and no refund is due.
Tell us about allergies, dietary requirements and mobility needs at the time of booking so we can plan for them. We can accommodate most needs given notice, but same-day requests may not be possible.
Guides may refuse service, or ask a guest to leave the tour, if that guest is unreasonably disruptive, unsafe, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs to a degree that affects the group. No refund is due in that case.
06
Gift vouchers
Vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. They can be redeemed against any tour subject to availability. Vouchers are non-refundable and are not exchangeable for cash. If the value of the tour booked is lower than the voucher value, the remainder stays on the voucher for a future booking within the same twelve month window.
07
Liability
Food tours involve walking, sampling food and drink from local vendors, and moving through busy streets and markets. You take part at your own risk. We recommend having travel insurance that covers activities like this.
We are not liable for loss, injury, illness or damage arising from your participation in a tour, save where such loss is caused by our negligence and cannot lawfully be excluded. Our maximum liability under any booking is capped at the price you paid for it.
08
Getting in touch
If something's gone wrong on a tour, tell your guide at the time so we have the chance to fix it. For anything else — booking changes, questions, complaints — email us at hello@achefstour.com and we'll respond within one working day.
