“Amazing start to our KL trip Skip breakfast as the food is delicious and plentiful. Steve was a fantastic guide. Perfect balance of food, culture, history all rolled into one. Steve has a great sense of humour and we loved the whole experience. Left with very full bellies and lots of belly laughs. Can’t recommend highly enough. Had we been staying longer in KL we would definitely have booked the evening food tour too.”

“Laksa Lanes Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 14+ Tastings Disha was fantastic!!!!!! We absolutely loved all the restaurants and street stalls she took us to and the food was delicious- there is nothing I would change or improve! “A varied tasting experience - highly recommend This was an absolutely worthwhile experience. We walked around Chinatown with a knowledgeable guide, Disha, a variety of tastings and a few sites as well. I've done a few food tours previously and this was the first one where the guide insisted we ate more. The portions were generous and we were able to get takeaways of some of the items we wanted more of. I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Disha for a delicious outing!”

“Disha is the best!! Great tour. SO much food so make sure you go with an empty stomach. I liked the added bonuses of the temple and bookstore visits. Educational and gave time to digest in-between food stops. Disha was so kind, knowledgeable and honestly just really great at her job. Thanks for a great tour!!! 10/10 recommen”

“So much Food! Come hungry as there is so much food to taste. Honestly, too much. No one can eat that much. Loved the mix of food and Chinatown sights. Well done. Got to try some Michelin rated street food as well as local stars. My only issue is that there was no decent bathroom. Either major line or unsanitary conditions. Maybe plan accordingly for this.”

“A One-of-a-Kind KL Food Adventure with Kash As a solo traveller, I didn’t know what to expect when I booked the Laksa Lanes food tour — but it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Kuala Lumpur. It ended up being just me on the tour, which meant I had an entirely personalised food and culture journey led by the incredible Kash. Kash is a legend. He’s warm, passionate, and has that rare ability to weave history, culture, and food into one captivating story. As we wandered through hidden corners of KL, he not only introduced me to unforgettable dishes but also painted a vivid picture of the city’s heritage, communities, and culinary traditions. The food? Simply unforgettable. We kicked off with a rich, comforting clam noodle soup, followed by a perfectly flaky and steaming hot baked pork bun. A silky tofu snack in coconut milk and palm sugar was heavenly. I tried not one but two types of laksa — each with its own depth of flavour — and indulged in a warm Portuguese-style custard tart. Chicken rice was served with a side of local pride, while peanut-covered rice balls and crispy pancakes packed with peanut, followed by fruit added a nutty crunch. Every bite was a reminder of why KL is a food lover’s paradise. By the end, I was full, happy, and deeply appreciative of Kash’s knowledge, humour, and generosity. This wasn’t just a food tour — it was an immersive, delicious journey through the beating heart of Kuala Lumpur. What a time to be alive! Five stars, without hesitation.”

“Laksa Lanes is a wonderful must-do activity in Kuala Lumpur. The best way to discover a city is always through food and Laksa Lanes did not disappoint. From the hustle and bustle of Chinatown to the winding lanes around it, we were able to understand, from our wonderful host Kiran, the richness and the great heritage of food culture in Malaysia. Kiran was very professional, insightful and full of stories that made the tour very enjoyable.”

“A truly special culinary experience We took the lunchtime tour and it was great. It wasn’t a busy day, so in the end it was only my husband and I and we had our lovely tour guide (Siddoz) all to ourselves. He was very knowledgeable and told us about much more than just food, including history and cultural insights. It was a unique experience and the food was truly excellent, especially the curry laksa! Thanks again :)”

“Delicious way to try Malaysian food I enjoyed trying all the food around Chinatown. The Lala Noodles and Asam Laksa were my favorites, but everything was good. So much flavour! It was nice to taste and learn about many dishes as well as the area. The walking tour was hot, weather wise, but we took several breaks in the shade, inside, and the guide ensured we had cool beverages throughout the tour. Sam, my guide, was friendly and knowledgeable.”
